Afghanistan, July 23 -- Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested four employees of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in Karachi over allegations of preparing fraudulent identity documents for Afghan nationals, local media reported.
According to Dawn, citing the FIA, the suspects are employees of NADRA, the government authority responsible for issuing national identity documents and maintaining Pakistan's registration records.
The FIA said preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects allegedly facilitated the issuance of fraudulent identity documents to Afghan nationals, tampered with official records and were involved in other illegal activities.
