Afghanistan, May 19 -- U.S. media reported that at least five people, including a security guard and two suspected attackers, were killed in a shooting at a mosque in San Diego, California.

American authorities said they are investigating the incident as a possible "hate crime" amid growing concerns over violence targeting religious institutions in the United States.

San Diego police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) told a news conference that the bodies of the two suspects were found inside a vehicle near the mosque, known as the Islamic Center of San Diego. Investigators believe the suspects died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds after the attack.
