Afghanistan, March 16 -- Pakistani media reported that at least five members of a family were killed after a rocket fired from Afghanistan struck their home in northwestern Pakistan, intensifying concerns over rising cross-border tensions.

According to the reports, the victims were killed in the village of Salarzai in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Another Pakistani broadcaster, Geo News, also reported the incident but said four people were killed when the rocket hit the residential house.

The broadcaster added that the rocket was allegedly fired by forces of the Taliban from across the border, though authorities have not publicly confirmed further details.
