Afghanistan, Aug. 17 -- Two drones targeted the office of Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani in northern Iraq on Monday, with no casualties reported, according to the Kurdistan Regional Government's security agency.
Reuters reported on Monday, August 17, 2026, that the KRG security agency said the drones were launched from Iranian territory. The agency did not say whether the drones struck their intended targets, and no group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
