Afghanistan, June 15 -- Taliban police in Kabul said they have arrested a man accused of driving into a group of girls in the capital, an incident that left at least three injured in the city's Sixth Police District.

Khalid Zadran, spokesperson for the Kabul police, said the suspect was detained along with his vehicle and is currently under investigation. He added that legal proceedings in the case are ongoing.

The incident reportedly took place on Sunday, and involved a speeding white Land Cruiser without license plates that struck several women before also hitting a cyclist, according to footage circulated online.
