Afghanistan, April 27 -- The death toll from a bomb attack on a highway in southwestern Colombia has risen to 19, with dozens more injured, authorities said.
The explosion took place in Cauca on Saturday after attackers blocked the road with a bus and a vehicle before detonating explosives, destroying and overturning several vehicles.
Initial reports had put the toll at 14, but officials later confirmed the higher figure, underscoring the severity of the blast.
President Gustavo Petro blamed the attack on a faction linked to outlaw leader Ivan Mordisco, one of the country's most wanted figures.
