Afghanistan, July 22 -- A 20-year-old bridesmaid in China was left permanently disabled after a wedding prank caused a spinal fracture, prompting a court to hold the newlyweds and others responsible.
A Chinese woman has been awarded about $34,000 in compensation after a wedding hazing prank left her seriously injured, according to a report by South China Morning Post.
The woman, identified only as Zhang, sued the bride, groom and nine other people involved in the incident, seeking $38,000 in compensation for medical expenses and emotional distress, the report said.
A court ultimately awarded Zhang about 34,000 US Dollar and apportioned liability among those involved in the incident.
