Afghanistan, June 7 -- China has launched a large-scale maritime law enforcement operation in waters east of Taiwan, state media reported, describing the mission as a response to plans by Japan and the Philippines to begin negotiations on maritime boundaries in the area.
According to the state-run Xinhua News Agency, multiple Chinese agencies participated in the operation, including the Fujian Maritime Safety Administration, the Guangdong Maritime Safety Administration, the East China Sea Navigation Support Center and the East China Sea Rescue Bureau.
