Afghanistan, Aug. 1 -- China and Turkey have discussed Afghanistan's reconstruction, regional security and efforts to promote stability, as both countries continue diplomatic engagement with Kabul without formally recognizing the Taliban authorities.

Yue Xiaoyong, China's Special Envoy for Afghanistan Affairs, met with Cihad Erginay, Director General for South Asia at Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to exchange views on developments related to Afghanistan.

Yue said in a post on X that the two sides discussed regional security and stability as well as efforts aimed at the peaceful reconstruction of Afghanistan.
