Afghanistan, July 1 -- Security forces arrested dozens of lawmakers and officials in Baghdad's Green Zone. As images of seized valuables spread online, including unverified claims of gold lingerie, Iraq's new prime minister says the purge is only beginning.

BAGHDAD - Before dawn on Sunday, armored vehicles rolled into Baghdad's fortified Green Zone, the sealed district that houses Iraq's parliament, government ministries and foreign embassies. Gunfire was reported in streets that are normally among the most protected in the country.
