Radio Bamyan, the first private media outlet in Bamyan province, has been shut down after Taliban intelligence forces raided and sealed its office, local sources said.

Taliban officials later confirmed the suspension, saying the station's broadcasts were halted because its operating license had not been renewed.

According to local reports, Taliban intelligence personnel entered the station's office in Bamyan city on Sunday and stopped its operations before sealing the premises.
