Afghanistan, July 11 -- Apple has filed a federal lawsuit against OpenAI and two former senior employees, alleging they misappropriated confidential company information and trade secrets to support the development of artificial intelligence hardware.

Apple filed the lawsuit on Friday in a U.S. federal court in California, accusing OpenAI and two former Apple executives of unlawfully using proprietary company information to accelerate the development of AI-powered hardware products.

The defendants include Chang Liu, a former senior electrical systems engineer at Apple, and Tang Tan, the company's former vice president of iPhone and Apple Watch product design, who now leads OpenAI's hardware division.
