Afghanistan, July 3 -- Afghanistan's passport ranks last among 197 countries and territories in the 2026 Global Passport Index published by Global Citizen Solutions.
The index scored Afghanistan at 23.10 out of 100. Sweden led with 96.05 points, followed by Switzerland, Finland, Germany and the Netherlands. Somalia, South Sudan, Yemen and Syria placed near the bottom alongside Afghanistan.
Global Citizen Solutions said the gap between the highest and lowest scores has widened in every edition since 2021. Sweden now leads Afghanistan by 72.95 points.
