Afghanistan, May 17 -- Afghanistan and China are advancing the Wakhan Corridor road project, a strategic infrastructure link aimed at strengthening direct land connectivity.

According to a statement released by the ministry, Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Abdul Latif Mansoor met Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Zhao Xing in Kabul to discuss infrastructure cooperation and regional connectivity.

During the meeting, Mansoor and the Chinese envoy emphasized continued economic and development cooperation, describing the completion of the Wakhan road project as an important step toward establishing direct land connectivity between the two countries.
