Afghanistan, June 29 -- Pakistan said its security forces killed 29 suspected militants in ground and air operations along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, days after a militant assault on a Rangers facility in Karachi killed three Pakistani security personnel.

According to Pakistan's Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, the operation began in Bajaur District and later expanded under the military campaign known as Ghadhab-ul-Haq, targeting positions of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and what Pakistani authorities describe as "Fitna al-Khawarij" in border areas.
