Afghanistan, Aug. 10 -- At least 11 people have been killed and two others injured in three separate shooting incidents in Cape Town, South African police said, prompting investigations and increased police deployments in the affected areas.
The shootings occurred in Langa, Gugulethu and Khayelitsha, according to police and local reports. Two women were among those killed. Investigators are working to establish the circumstances of the attacks and identify those responsible.
South African police have offered a reward of 100,000 rand, worth more than $6,000, for information leading to the arrest of suspects involved in the shootings.
