Afghanistan, Oct. 6 -- India's Supreme Court on Monday sharply rebuked Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav for failing to comply with a payment undertaking in seven long-running cheque-dishonour cases, warning him that "your place is in jail" if he continued to disregard court orders.
A three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V. Mohana directed Yadav to make the required payment by Tuesday and listed the matter for Wednesday as the first case. The court said it could dismiss his appeal but was reluctant to do so because that could affect the complainant's ability to recover the money.
