Jammu, Oct. 3 -- Share Tweet Share Uri, Oct 3 (KNS) Traffic on the Uri National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district will remain suspended for two days this month to facilitate hill-cutting work, officials said on Saturday. According to an official order issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Uri accessed news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the highway will be closed on October 4 and October 11 (both Sundays). The closure has been sanctioned following a request from the Officer Commanding, 53 RCC (GREF), the order stated. "The General Public, commuters and transport operators are advised to use the alternative route via Bandi-Paranpillan-Dachi during the period of closure," the order issued by SDM Prince Kumar said....
