Srinagar, May 26 -- In a significant humanitarian move ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson and Minister of State, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, on Tuesday ordered the immediate release of salaries for Board employees, pensions for retirees, and Bait-ul-Maal assistance for underprivileged beneficiaries.

In a statement issued to KNS, Dr Andrabi said the decision, aimed at enabling needy families to celebrate the festival of sacrifice with dignity and relief amid growing concerns over financial preparedness of daily wage workers and pensioners before the major religious occasion.
