Srinagar, May 27 -- Eid-ul-Adha prayers were offered across Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday with thousands of devotees gathering at mosques, shrines and Eidgahs amid overcast weather conditions at many places.

Special congregational prayers were held at major shrines and mosques across the Valley, including the Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar and the Ahimshareef shrine in Bandipora district.

While prayers at several places were offered in open Eidgah grounds, many congregations were shifted to mosques due to waterlogged prayer grounds following incessant rainfall over the past several days.
