Authorities on Monday said a technical glitch temporarily halted the cable car gondola service in the world-famous tourist resort of Gulmarg, even as they appealed to people not to panic.

All tourists stranded due to the snag have been safely rescued, a senior official told the Kashmir News Service (KNS).

"The service was temporarily halted due to a technical glitch. Our technicians are on the job to restore it at the earliest," the official said.

"There is no need to panic. All tourists who were stuck have been rescued," he added. (KNS)
