New Delhi, May 9 -- Adhikari took oath as the first BJP Chief Minister of West Bengal on Saturday. Governor RN Ravi administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Adhikari at a grand ceremony held at the Brigade Parade Grounds in Kolkata. Along with him, five other MLAs, including Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Ashok Kirtania, Nisith Pramanik and Kshudiram Tudu, were sworn in as Cabinet Ministers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Ministers of various NDA and BJP-ruled states, BJP President Nitin Nabin and several other leaders of BJP attended the ceremony.
