Strengthening ties with glorious past needed for crime-free society : Dr Darakhshan
Jammu, May 21 -- Srinagar, May 21 (KNS); Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Thursday said strengthening cultural and spiritual ties with the region's glorious past is essential for a crime-free society.
Addressing an 'Asluk Aalav' social transformation event here, Dr Andrabi said the programme series-focused on five major reformative agendas-is being regularly held across all districts of Kashmir to address issues that will determine the future of society.
"We belong to the holy land of Sufis and rishis. The connection with their teachings of inclusiveness will save us from divisive forces," she said.
