Jammu, June 26 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, June 26 (KNS): A group of environmental experts, academics and civil society members has adopted the Srinagar Declaration 2026, proposing a 10-year roadmap to place water security, ecological restoration and climate resilience at the centre of development planning in Jammu and Kashmir. The declaration, adopted at a seminar on the protection of the natural environment organised by the Group of Concerned Citizens (GCC) in Srinagar, designates 2026-2035 as the "Decade of Water Security and Ecological Restoration" and urges policymakers to align development with the ecological limits of the Himalayan region.
