Srinagar, May 19 -- Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather expressed grief over the demise of Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, father of Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid.

In a statement issued here, Rather conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and expressed solidarity with them in this hour of grief.

He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and sought strength for the bereaved family to bear the loss.

Rather said that the deceased would be granted a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.(KNS).
