Sopore, May 29 -- Police in north Kashmir's Sopore on Friday said an old video from the Panzipora area, originally from a 2025 incident in which action had already been taken, was being falsely circulated on social media as a recent event.

Authorities said they had taken cognisance of the misleading circulation of the video, which was being shared by some social media users and news pages.

A police officer told News Agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the matter had already been dealt with at the time of the original incident, and the renewed sharing was "baseless and unnecessary."
