Sopore, April 27 -- In a first-of-its-kind initiative to combat substance abuse, the Sopore administration has turned to the traditional 'Tanga' (horse-cart) as a unique mobile platform to spread awareness against drugs among the youth.
The novel campaign, organised by the civil administration on Monday, drew significant public attention as it moved through the town, blending nostalgia with a critical social message.
"The objective is to disseminate the message about the ill-effects of drugs to as many people as possible, especially the youth," Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina, told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).
