Jammu, Oct. 6 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, October 6 (KNS): The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has made home composting mandatory for all its Gazetted Officers, wherever practicable, as part of efforts to strengthen source-level waste management and promote decentralised processing of biodegradable waste. An order issued by SMC Commissioner Faz Lul Haseeb directs all Gazetted Officers to segregate biodegradable and wet waste generated at their residences and subject it to home composting through appropriate and scientifically suitable methods.
