Jammu, Sept. 7 -- Share Tweet Share Ganderbal Sep 07 (KNS): A search operation was launched in the Thune area of Kangan in Ganderbal district after a boy and a girl were reportedly seen jumping into a power canal, officials said on Monday. According to preliminary information, the boy has been identified as Irshad Ahmad Kahi, son of Mohammad Sharif Kahi, a resident of Thune. The identity of the girl has been withheld. Soon after receiving information about the incident, Kangan Police, SDRF personnel and a local rescue team launched a coordinated search operation in and around the power canal to trace the two persons.
