Rising prices of essentials forcing families to cut back on protein-rich food: CCIK
Jammu, July 17 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, Jul 17 (KNS): The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) on Friday expressed concern over the rising prices of essential commodities, saying the increase in the cost of food items has put additional financial pressure on households across the Valley. In a statement, the CCIK said mutton was being sold between Rs 800 and Rs 820 per kg, while chicken was retailing at Rs 200-Rs 210 per kg. Paneer was priced at around Rs 310 per kg and a tray of eggs was selling for nearly Rs 250 in several markets.
