New Delhi, April 10 -- The Ministry of Railways has sanctioned the Final Location Survey (FLS) for a proposed new railway line between Reasi and Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
According to an official communication issued by the Railway Board on April 8, the approval has been granted to Northern Railway to carry out the survey for the 190-kilometre-long line.
The cost of the survey has been pegged at Rs 26.41 crore, the document said.
The proposed Reasi-Poonch rail link is expected to enhance connectivity in the border districts of the Union Territory and improve access to remote areas along the Line of Control (LoC).
