Jammu, May 19 -- A ticket checking staff member at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra railway station reunited a missing child with her parents after spotting her alone and distressed on the station premises, officials said on Tuesday.

According to Northern Railway's Jammu Division, ticket checking staff member Dinesh Kumar noticed the young girl wandering alone and crying during duty at the station.

Officials said Kumar immediately approached the child, comforted her and provided water after finding that she was frightened and unable to share details about her family.
