Jammu, Aug. 20 -- Share Tweet Share Banihal, Aug 20 (KNS): Power infrastructure in the Banihal-Gool constituency received a major boost with the augmentation of the Banihal Receiving Station, aimed at easing overloading and improving electricity supply, MLA Sajjad Shaheen said on Thursday. Shaheen inaugurated the augmented receiving station here, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.25 crore under the UT Capex programme. Its capacity has been enhanced from 6.3 MVA to 10.6 MVA. The MLA said the increased capacity would help reduce overloading, particularly during winter when electricity demand rises considerably.
