Jammu, April 4 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department (PDD) has approved the augmentation of two key receiving stations at Karan Nagar and JVC in central Kashmir's Shalteng area, as part of a broader push to strengthen power infrastructure in the region. In a written reply to a question by Congress MLA Tariq Hameed Karra, the government as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) informed the Legislative Assembly that the 33/11 kV receiving station at Karan Nagar is being upgraded from 2x10 MVA to 3x10 MVA, while the JVC station will be augmented from 1x10 MVA to 2x10 MVA.
