Anantnag, April 29 -- Police and civil authorities in South Kashmir's Anantnag have demolished multiple illegal structures, worth crores of rupees, built on state land along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) in Sangam area as part of a major crackdown against drug peddlers.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) said the drive targeted properties linked to individuals with a history of cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The demolished structures, operating as roadside eateries, were found to be illegally erected on state land falling under Khasra No. 319 (min) of estate Sangam.
