Birdi on Tuesday said the Jammu and Kashmir Police is taking strict action against drug peddlers under the NDPS Act and the stringent PIT-NDPS law, especially against repeat offenders. Speaking to news agency KNS, the IGP said the police have always tried to handle the narcotics issue through a variety of ways, with the legal response being the primary mechanism.
