PM Modi urges online classes, remote work amid energy crisis
New Delhi, May 11 -- Narendra Modi on Monday urged schools to consider temporary online classes and called for wider adoption of work-from-home and virtual meetings to help reduce fuel consumption amid the ongoing West Asia crisis and global energy disruptions.
Addressing a programme in Gujarat, Modi said India needed to take precautionary measures to minimise the impact of the international situation on the country's economy and energy resources.
He said reducing unnecessary travel and fuel usage had become important in view of the evolving global circumstances.
