Srinagar, April 22 -- Apni Party President Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday described the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives last year, as a "wound that will never truly heal," as the valley marked the first anniversary of the Baisaran Meadow massacre.
"Even today, the pain and sense of loss are felt strongly," Bukhari said in a statement. He bowed his head in tribute to the victims, praying for "eternal peace" for the departed and strength for their families.
The Apni Party chief said the memory of those killed should serve as a reminder to "stand together, reject hatred, and remain firm in our commitment to peace and humanity." No terror outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. (KNS)
