Jammu, May 19 -- One person was killed and 25 others injured when a 54-seater passenger bus skidded off the road and turned turtle near Chandail Morh in the Sangaldan area of Ramban district on Tuesday, officials said.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the bus, bearing registration number JK02CU-7482, was on its way from Dharam to Ramban when the driver lost control on a sharp bend, resulting in the accident, he said.

The deceased has been identified as Anshu Singh (25), son of Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Pangata Khalsa in Udhampur district, the official said.
