Srinagar, May 15 -- Amid a nationwide petrol crisis and a steep ?3 per litre hike in fuel prices, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Satish Sharma, on Friday asserted there is "no problem" regarding essential commodities, assuring citizens that the country remains in safe hands under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

"There is no issue. That is the fact - the country is in safe hands. Under PM Modi's guidance at the Centre and CM Omar Abdullah's stewardship in the UT, there is no problem," Sharma told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) when asked about the impact of fuel price hikes on food supplies.
