Srinagar, June 3 -- The National Conference (NC) will stage a protest in the national capital on the first day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament to demand restoration of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir, party chief spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq said on Wednesday.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the NC legislature party attended by the party's MLAs and allies, Sadiq told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).

"Many issues, including the Congress and the government, were discussed. But most importantly, the special status was discussed," he said.
