Srinagar, May 1 -- The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial President Showkat Mir Friday said that the Omar Abdullah-led government remains firmly committed to implementing the vision of the party's manifesto with a special focus on ensuring welfare, dignity, and protection for the labour class.

He made these remarks while chairing a function at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, organised by Party's trade union convenor Ghulam Muhammad Hamdard as part of the party's observance of International Labour Day (May Day). The programme witnessed participation from senior party functionaries, trade union leaders and representatives of various organisations.
