Bandipora, May 1 -- The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) nominated Dr Zahoor Ahmad Sofi as the In-Charge District President of the party in Bandipora. The order in this regard was issued by Provincial President Showkat Ahmad Mir. The development comes months after the party, under the leadership of its president Farooq Abdullah, dissolved the Bandipora district committee on January 6 this year, citing serious procedural violations and internal discord. The action came after a series of conflicting orders issued by the then In-Charge District President, Bandipora, Nazir Gurezi which had sparked a controversy within the party.
