Baramulla, April 25 -- Continuing its crackdown on drug trafficking, police have apprehended a narcotics peddler in north Kashmir's Baramulla district and seized a vehicle along with psychotropic substances, officials said on Saturday.
A police spokesperson said that during naka checking at Nawan Mode Kreeri, a suspect identified as Faizan Mohiudin Wani, son of Gh Mohiudin Wani and a resident of Pethgam Wagoora, was intercepted.
"During the search, the accused was found in possession of contraband substances, including Clonazepam, Zolpidem Tartrate, Tapentadol HCL, and other prescription drugs in tablet form. A total of 87 tablets were recovered from his possession," the spokesperson said.
