Srinagar, May 17 -- Senior PDP leader and former minister Naeem Akhtar has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating condition of the ANMT School Bandipora, saying the institution is facing severe academic and infrastructural neglect despite being responsible for shaping the future of healthcare education in the district.

In a statement, Naeem Akhtar said it is unfortunate that the institution is being run mostly by staff deputed from the ISM Department and District Hospital Bandipora instead of permanent faculty members. He said while these deputed employees are managing few classes at the ANMT School, their own departments and health centres are suffering badly due to staff shortages.
