Bandipora, May 19 -- A young political activist from Bandipora, Mushtaq Ahmad Tantray, met Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan and raised a set of public welfare demands related to the development of Bandipora district.

During the meeting, Tantray submitted a memorandum highlighting long-pending issues concerning infrastructure, health, education, sports and connectivity in the district.

The demands included upgradation of the Srinagar-Bandipora-Gurez road with National Highway status, development of sports grounds in rural areas, establishment of a women's degree college in Bandipora, improvement of road connectivity in Gujjarpatti areas, and upgradation of Bandipora hospital into a district hospital.
