Srinagar, May 10 -- National Conference leader and Srinagar MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi accused Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, of having "raised his voice only against the Kashmiri people" since taking over as CM in 2024.

The remarks came in response to CM Omar Abdullah's recent "cloudburst" comment, which has sparked political ripples in the Valley. Asked about the Chief Minister's statement in an interview with Kashmir News Service (KNS), MP Ruhullah said, "I don't know. CM Omar must be aware of it himself."

The MP said "I know that since he became the Chief Minister in 2024, he has raised his voice only against the Kashmiri people."
