Srinagar, May 2 -- Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, father of Baramulla Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid, was on Saturday airlifted to New Delhi for specialised medical care, officials said.

Sheikh was shifted from SMHS Hospital to Srinagar airport in a critical care ambulance under medical supervision before being flown to the national capital.

Officials said a medical team monitored his condition during the transit, while two attendants accompanied him on the flight to ensure continuity of care.(KNS)
