Jammu, May 13 -- Gurez, May 13 (KNS); MLA Gurez Nazir Ahmad Khan on Wednesday visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in Gurez Valley and hailed the centre's novel interventions in high-altitude agriculture, including the valley's first tulip yard and domestication of Kala Zeera.

During a comprehensive field visit, the legislator inspected a lavender demonstration yard and a medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) germplasm bank, which KVK officials said are transformative steps toward crop diversification, sustainable agriculture, and agri-tourism in the remote tribal belt.
