Jammu, June 29 -- Share Tweet Share Srinagar, Jun 29 (KNS): Authorities placed Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Molvi Mohammad Umar Farooq under house arrest on Monday, preventing him from addressing a scheduled gathering at Imam Bara Bemina. The Mirwaiz had been invited by Aga Syed Haadi to deliver a sermon on the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the battle of Karbala. However, security forces restricted his movement as a precautionary measure.
